Paul's Prayer

16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. - Ephesians 3:16-19

Give Me Strength

“I pray that according to the wealth of his glory [the Father] may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person...”

God, I need your Spirit to give me the power to help me understand the love you have for me. I cannot live a life of purity before you without your Spirit’s power. Give me strength to reach the goal you have set for me. Thank you for the ever-present gift of your presence in my life.

Ground Me In Love

“...that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, so that, because you have been rooted and grounded in love...”

Father, I pray that my desires in this life, you have given to me, be rooted and grounded in your love. Anything that is not done in faith and love, for your glory, is ultimately worthless. Remind me of your constant love that is continually poured out for me that I may desire to love and serve you in return. 

Help Me Comprehend Your Love

“...you may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and thus to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.”

Help me in my weakness to understand, by your grace, the surpassing greatness of the love Christ has for me. Let me always be full and overflowing with you that my joy is made sure and others would see you in me.
