Prayer for Leadership

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:16-19 NIV)

Pray for our senior leadership as well as the campus leadership where you attend. That they will lead strongly.  Also lift up our B-Group leaders and volunteer leaders as we serve Christ together.

• The Fullness of Christ

Unity

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ”. (Romans 15:5-6)

Pray for Unity among the members of Bethany Church. Bind the spirit of disunity that would attempt to divide the Body of Christ. Remember Jesus’ High Priestly prayer that we would all be one as He and the Father are one. 

Vision 

“ I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.  Ephesians 1:15-19 NIV

Ask the Lord to enlarge our vision for our city, state and nation as a church. Pray that He would continue to give us vision even beyond this generation. Pray that Christ would reveal to us His vision for Bethany in the coming years and send people who will take the vision for the future and run in His power to accomplish it!

Influence

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should”. (Colossians 4:2-4 NIV)

Ask the Lord to enlarge our influence around the state, nation and globally. Ask Him to give us open doors for the gospel to be preached all over the world. Pray also that the message of Christ would be clear and touch the hearts of all who hear it.
