Many teams are in the week to week grind of just finding songs for a setlist on Sundays. But how do you take all that God is doing in your church and speaking in seasons and turn that into songs? It takes intentionality to find time to focus on seeing this become a reality. Not settling for mediocrity but continuing to push over and over again until you reach something that’s great. You must have an open handed and open heart environment that desires only the best songs to win.

1. Intentionality 

Decide who you are and what you’re going to do as a ministry.

2. Writing

• What are our leaders saying?
• What’s resonating in our church / hearts in the current season
• Intentional gathering of a special group of writers

Practical:

1. Discover who has interest and gifting in writing 
   1. Gifted in melody creation and lyric creation
   2. Not everyone on the team is or wants to be a writer
2. Create a space for Group Writes
   1. Get it on the calendar!
   2. 1-2 Day Getaway to Start
   3. Process of a Group Writing Session
   4. Setting Expectations both Spiritually and Logistically
   5. Properly pairing people (no more than 3)
   6. Determining leads for feedback (guiding the ship)
   7. A process for submission
3. Implementing Songs
   1. Taking time to demo songs in any DAW
   2. As a local church take the time to try it out on Sundays
