Matthew 4:17–25 (NLT) — 17 From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” 18 One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. 19 Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” 20 And they left their nets at once and followed him. 21 A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, repairing their nets. And he called them to come, too. 22 They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind. 23 Jesus traveled throughout the region of Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. 24 News about him spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed—he healed them all. 25 Large crowds followed him wherever he went—people from Galilee, the Ten Towns, Jerusalem, from all over Judea, and from east of the Jordan River.

Five needs humans have that Christ brings the solution for 

1. We all need TRUTH
   1. If you opened the gospels and randomly put your finger down, there is a high probability that it would be on a passage where Jesus is teaching truth. 
   2. He was called “teacher” “rabbi” 
   3. The world sits in IGNORANCE - They don’t know
   4. The world sits in CONFUSION - They have it mixed up
   5. The world sits in LIES 
      1. He exposes lies
      2. He exposes hypocrisy
      3. He exposes the way to God
   6. We all have perspectives, Jesus has truth
      1. Example of the elephant
   7. His truth is a road map out of being lost. 
2. We all need PURPOSE
   1. Simon and Andrew were throwing their net into the water.
   2. James and John sitting in a boat with their father. 
   3. His purpose for us is much bigger than our careers. 
   4. His purpose for us will be centered around 
      1. Spending time with Him
      2. Learning from Him
      3. Helping Him reach people
3. We all need HEALING
   1. If you did the same exercise as point number, and put your finger down in a the gospels, there is a great chance it would be at one fo the miracles of Jesus. 
      1. He heals fevers
      2. He heals skin diseases
      3. He heals paralysis 
      4. He heals body deformities (withered hand, bent back) 
      5. He heals blood diseases
      6. He heals blindness
      7. He heals deafness
      8. He heals muteness
      9. He heals swollen arms and legs
      10. He heals missing body parts
   2. Every year America spends 4.3 TRILLION dollars, or $13,000 a person on healthcare
   3. Jesus healed because he loves humans
   4. Jesus healed because he had the authority to do so
   5. You can cry out to him for healing today. 
4. We all need DELIVERANCE 
   1. Bondage of Addiction 
   2. Bondage of Oppression - Depression, Despair
   3. Bondage of Possession - Brazil
   4. He wants people free
      1. From addiction
      2. From habits
      3. From generational curses
      4. From depression 
      5. From self-harm
      6. From hearing voices
      7. From torment 
5. We all need HOPE
   1. “Throngs of people followed Him everywhere He went”
   2. His life offers us hope. 
      1. The son of a impoverished family
      2. From a small town
      3. No wealth to speak of
      4. God provided His needs every day and His life mattered
   3. His death offers us hope. 
      1. That God loves the world enough to let His Son die on our behalf
      2. That our sins are paid for.
      3. That there is one worthy 
   4. His resurrection offers us hope.
      1. That resurrection is possible
      2. That victory over this life is possible
      3. That heaven is real.
