Intro:

I want to take the day and re-inspire you in your relationship with the Holy Spirit

• You can’t live Holy without Him
• You can’t be transformed into the image of Jesus without Him
• You can’t fulfill God’s will for your life without Him 
• HE IS THE AGENT OF HEAVEN GIVEN TO YOU

Our desires to win the lost are only wishes without the Holy Spirit. You MUST BE FILLED

Acts 1:4–8 (NIV) — 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” 6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

1. RECEIVE the Holy Spirit

      1. Like a cup to the brim

      3. Filled with faith

      1. Repent and be baptized. 
      2. Pray and expect
      3. Have hands laid upon you
         
         
2. RESPOND to the Holy Spirit 
   1. Your steps directed. You will feel leanings and direction from the presence of God within. 
      1. Philip - Go to the chariot
      2. Peter - Three men are coming, go with them
      3. Antioch elders - send paul and Barnabas out
      4. Paul - told not to go into Asia
      5. Ananias - told to go find Paul and pray for him. 
      6. Romans 8:14: “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God
      7. The Holy Spirit is the one IN-CHARGE of Kingdom movement! 
   2. Your words directed.

      5. Luke 12:11-12: “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.

      3. Paul in Corinth, Paul in Ephesus, Paul before Agrippa
      4. Acts 4:31: “After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly
   4. Your ministry empowered.
      1. Mark 16:17-18: “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.
